I love barns. I enjoy looking at photos of different barns from all parts of our country. In fact, every year I get a calendar entitled "Barns". Viewing this picture above is very comforting to me.I can see peace, quietness and a feeling of home. It is so beautiful to me. The colors. The color of the sky (isn't it just too gorgeous!) .... The gentle creatures grazing in the green pastures. Hmmmm.
That reminds me of a great Truth I have read;
1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Winter is a hard time for me. Perhaps you too? The increased darkness, the cold's effect on my aging body. I am reminded how my body is decaying with every passing year, yet my spirit is renewed and becomes more "mature" with each passing year. I can get more overwhelmed with worries. But then I remember Psalm 23. I remember the Truth of what Christ has promised to me and to you.
Enjoy the picture I share with you today. Remember to thank God for His never-ending protection of you each and everyday. Even though the air is frosty cold and snow lies deep on the ground, Nature is still beautiful. God has made the Seasons for a reason.
